Basketball is a fun, team sport that can help build desirable traits such as character, discipline, cooperation, physical and mental toughness. At PACA our goal is to help student athletes develop the fundamentals of basketball. They will learn a variety of skills, drills, offensive and defensive strategies throughout the season. Our season stretches from October through January. We compete against other schools many of which are members of the Space Coast Christian Conference league. Tryouts begin in October and is open to all PACA 6th through 8th graders. Practice times may vary but generally run from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays, unless it’s a game day. Saturday games are possible.
Students must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA throughout the season in order to remain eligible to play on the team. Besides an emphasis on academics before athletics, the PACA basketball program strives to instill within its student athletes a proper sense of sportsmanship and respect to each other as well as towards our fellow competitors. Most importantly as a Christian institution, we strive to honor Christ through our basketball program.
